From time to time, in business and in life, it’s important to pause, reflect and envision what’s ahead. And what better a time than at the start of a new year?
At SeeChange, we’ve taken a time-out for our own strategic planning and, in 2019, we’re plunging into the waters of change with a remake, rebrand, rewake.
Here are some of the questions we’ve been asking ourselves:
Reflecting on the past 18 years in business, what successes have you had?
What’s been most memorable and what’s been most difficult? What’s gotten in your way? Checking-in on the present, what matters most NOW for yourself, your business and your clients/constituent?
Contemplating the coming year and decade, how will SeeChange’s unique brand of collaborative consulting help organizations reach their goals and individuals realize their dreams?
Turns out the fundamentals for SeeChange do not change. As Carlos Castaneda (The Teachings of Don Juan) famously put it: “Things don’t change, we just change our way of looking.”
That is, change can be subtle, internal, and change everything.
So what has changed?
The recognition of my own self-awareness, developed over time and practice, which enables me to enter a client system and hone right in on the needs and potential solutions. I’m good at that – meeting you, the client, where you are and, at the same time, guiding you toward what’s possible.
My conviction about the importance of this work of human collaboration, and my desire help leaders make their own change in the world.
The development, over the years, of handy tools like the Star Model and IGNITE program that help me do my job better and faster.
The recognition that we are in a challenging time of change in the world – it almost feels like backwards globally, socially, economically, environmentally – and thus, now, more than ever, we must develop and practice the skills of compassionate, collaborative leadership.
The belief that my voice matters and my commitment to instigate dialogue and dissent through periodic SeeChange posts and see where it might lead. Because change is not an event – it’s a conversation!
What’s up for you, your team, your creative venture in 2019? How can SeeChange help?
Please send me thoughts and let’s dive-in!
